Program Overview
The Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a major in biblical studies is an academic program designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of bible, church history, and systematic and practical theology. In addition to thirty-six (36) credit hours in general education, the program’s major explores the historical, cultural, theological, and literary aspects of the bible, examining both the Old and New Testaments. Students will gain skills in interpreting biblical texts, understanding their impact in theological traditions, and exploring the essential role of scripture in ministry. This program prepares students for careers in ministry, biblical education, or further graduate studies in theology or religious studies.

Pastoral Ministry
The Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a Ministry minor is designed to prepare students to serve in local churches or other forms of Christian work and ministry. Luther Rice is a Christian college that offers fully online biblical degree programs or through a combination of online and on-campus classes.

Christian Worldview
The Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a Christian Worldview minor prepares students to serve in local churches or other forms of Christian ministry with a special focus on interpreting culture and advancing the Christian faith.

Biblical Counseling
The Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a Biblical Counseling minor is designed to introduce you to the essentials of biblical counseling. The program is not designed to prepare one for professional state licensure, however, you will be equipped to serve more effectively as a biblical counselor in the local church, on the mission field, or in biblical counseling centers, among other related occupations.
