B.S.Ed., University of Georgia; M.Div., Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary; D.Min., Reformed Theological Seminary; Ph.D., Regent University

A native Georgian, Rusty Ricketson came to know Christ as a senior in High School. Being mentored by Campus Crusade for Christ at the University of Georgia, he soon sensed a call to vocational ministry. Upon college graduation he taught public school for one year and then matriculated at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, receiving the M.Div. with languages degree. He married the former Sharon Waddle in 1984, and they have two grown children.

Ricketson helped plant two churches in the north Atlanta area, serving as senior pastor for a combined eighteen years. In 2003 he became an adjunct professor and joined the full-time faculty in 2004. He enjoys teaching, preaching, reading, writing, and God’s great outdoors. Besides his school work, Ricketson serves as president of Foundation of the Faith, Inc., a ministry whose purpose is to develop followers of Christ and create follower first organizational cultures in churches throughout the United States and developing countries.
